Sociaal Creatieve Raad

The Social Creative Council was a council of fifty representatives from various social networks who joined forces with artists and designers to shape our future society.
The council was established in June 2020 with the aim of encouraging and helping governments and public organizations to take a creative look at processes and systems across different sectors and domains. In order to put human values back at the center, social systems need to be redesigned. Collaboration with creative professionals is promising in this regard. However, it is not yet easy for commissioners to involve them in this process. The cultural field is too fragmented. And there was too little knowledge about collaborative processes with creative makers that lead to an impact on the issue. Since the establishment of the Social Creative Council (SCR), this body of thought, with its associated preconditions and skills, has been introduced in many places and has continued to develop. At the end of 2025, the SCR has been dissolved to make room for new initiatives.

De Sociaal Creatieve Raad was een raad van vijftig vertegenwoordigers van diverse maatschappelijke netwerken die hun krachten bundelden om samen met kunstenaars en ontwerpers onze toekomstige samenleving vorm te geven.
De raad is in juni 2020 opgericht met het doel om overheden en maatschappelijke organisaties er toe te bewegen en te helpen om met een creatieve blik naar processen en systemen te kijken, dwars door de verschillende sectoren en domeinen heen. Om menselijke waarden weer meer centraal te stellen, moeten maatschappelijke systemen opnieuw ingericht worden. De samenwerking met creatieve makers is daarin beloftevol. Maar voor opdrachtgevers is het nog niet makkelijk hen hierbij te betrekken. Het culturele veld is te versnipperd. En er was te weinig kennis over samenwerkingsprocessen met creatieve makers die leiden tot impact op het vraagstuk. Dit gedachtegoed met bijbehorende randvoorwaarden en vaardigheden is sinds de oprichting van de Sociaal Creatieve Raad (SCR) op veel plekken geïntroduceerd en verder gegroeid. Eind 2025 is de SCR opgeheven om ruimte te maken voor nieuwe initiatieven.
